Food & Drink

More often than not, tourists do not come to the States for the food. But, in Miami, the help of the “melting pot” can allow you to eat at well in diversity in a range of prices and the kind of clients that restaurants tailor to.

You can find excellent Italian restaurants at medium-high price as well as good pizzeria and spaghetteria at prices lower than in Milan or Rome. The location and service will vary but, in the end, it’s the food that matters, right?

There are also many ethnic restaurants to choose from:
• Argentinean, which offers great meat;
• Cuban;
• French;
• Greek with their typical mezes;
• Japanese, by far the most popular;
• Mexican; and
• Spanish

Last, but certainly not least, are American restaurants: from steak houses to sea food restaurants, where you find little fish but plenty of crustaceans, to hamburger houses (Some of them really great!) to charming restaurants (Attention: They are usually worth the price…but what a price!).

If you have a limited budget, stay in apartment, get tired of frequenting restaurants or are planning to stay longer than two weeks, there are many supermarkets with good quality food and a wide range of prices. This listing is also available here.

One thing is for sure: you won’t starve… given the size of American servings…!
